Following the proactive request from Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company regarding the revocation of the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Business Eligibility (only for the scope of pharmaceutical import and export business), dated April 10, 2023, Deputy Minister of Health Đỗ Xuân Tuyên signed Decision No. 1749/QD-BYT on revoking the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Business Eligibility No. 448/DDKKDD-BYT dated June 22, 2020 of the Company, with the scope of business being the export and import of pharmaceutical ingredients.
However, there are some websites that have reposted this information with article titles that may cause misunderstandings, creating unnecessary concerns for partners, customers, and employees.
Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company hereby clarifies the information as follows:
1. The decision of the Ministry of Health to revoke the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Business Eligibility No. 448/DDKKDD-BYT dated June 22, 2020 is entirely proactive based on the request from Imexpharm with two reasons:
Currently, Imexpharm has foreign investment capital of over 50%, so the Company no longer has the right to distribute (not allowed to purchase materials, finished products from other facilities for resale).
Up to now, the Company has not engaged in this business activity (importing drugs, materials for resale).
2. The revocation of the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Business Eligibility No. 448/DDKKDD-BYT dated June 22, 2020 in the field of pharmaceutical import and export business does not affect any manufacturing and business activities of the Company as stipulated in the current Certificate of Pharmaceutical Business Eligibility No. 112/DDKKD-BYT dated September 21, 2018.
